Wonder fail to open lead

The match was played under scorching heat, especially in the second half. Despite playing hundreds of kilometers away from home, Gantsi Terrors looked like the home side. Quite a good number of their supporters thronged the match venue at the SSG Ground. Before the last weekend's matches, Wonder had collected 31 points from 15 games.
On paper, they had an upper hand and were expected to collect maximum points against the visiting side. But they met a determined Terrors that cleared everything in their 18-yard area. Against some of the best attackers in the league, among them Betsho Pius, Duncan Kgopolelo and Mkhululi Moyo, Gantsi Terrors defence was disciplined throughout the match.
When claims of such gravity are made, especially by a sitting Assistant Minister they cannot be brushed aside, delayed, or treated as routine political noise. Even the Ombudsman has confirmed receipt of a report from a political party and a review of these complaints is now underway. That is a necessary first step. But it is only the beginning.
