Women�s football to make Goledzwa tournament debut

The organisers of the annual Goledzwa Football Tournament have taken a decision to include women teams in the tourney for the first time.

The Goledzwa tournament will be held in Tutume in the North East District.

Tournament publicity secretary, Christopher Nyanga told Mmegi Sport this week that the women’s competition would be between a team from Tutume and another from Matobo village, which is 20 kilometres from Tutume.  He said the game would be played on December 28, 2017. He said the idea is part of a strategy to support women’s football in the village. He stated that they are hopeful football fans would be excited to see such changes.
