The Botswana Billiards Confederation (BBC) vice president technical, Bakang Mosikare has said he is impressed with the turn out of women in the local pool league.

The league that started in May and continued on Saturday in Gaborone has four clubs in the men and women’s competition, being Botho University, University of Botswana (UB), Matsubutsubu and Acres.

“When we launched the league, we came up with a rule that will encourage women to take part and we highly participate. We made a rule that allows a club to register a minimum of five women, and that the club will not be registered if it did not meet this requirement,” Mosikare said.
