BMC chairman, Daroush Ghodrati, has confirmed reports that his commercial partnership negotiations with Extension Gunners collapsed because of disagreement over control of finances. The deal would have meant the dissolution of BMC after a merger with Gunners.

Ghodrati said yesterday that he backed out because he felt the proposed deal did not protect his business interests.

“There were a few areas that we did not agree on in the contract; it was more than one issue. We went back and forth but in the end we did not agree,” Ghodrati told Mmegi Sport. He said that one of Gunners’ demands was related to monetary issues.
