Nico chairperson, Etlhomilwe Raditshego told Mmegi Sport yesterday that they were shocked to read press reports that they had failed to pay their subscription to BFA. Raditshego said this was untrue and showed this publication proof that the club had paid the fee on June 1, 2012. Raditshego said reports that the club failed to pay its affiliation fees might have serious implications. He said supporters are confused about the situation, fearing the club might lose its BFA membership.
Raditshego said that they are yet to discuss the issue with the management and sponsors to chart the way forward."Our sponsors might end up thinking that we are not running the club professionally, believing that we are failing in our duty.Nico United are a brand and we make sure that everything is done properly," he said. Raditshego stated that they do not want to be involved in dirty football politics.Meanwhile, Nico's team manager, Petrus Ditsele has confirmed the signing of Emmanuel Thakadu, striker from Miscellaneous, Nelson Moreetsi, a midfielder from Notwane, Mosimanegape Moilwa, a goalkeeper from BDFX1, Bikie Letuwane, a defender from TAFIC, Patrick Legwaila, a winger from Kanye Swallows. Ditsele said they also have two youngsters from Division Two teams, a goalkeeper and a midfielder.
