Wanderers look to leapfrog TAFIC

Two points separate the two sides, after TAFIC dropped points at Sua Flamingoes, while Wanderers did their assignment soundly in a 4-1 win over Francistown City Greens. Now the ball is in Wanderers court to leapfrog TAFIC. An intense three-horse title race ensued at the beginning of the season, with Flamingoes also in the picture, but that has narrowed down to two.
Flamingoes tripped mid-season, leaving the fight to TAFIC and Wanderers. TAFIC has been unrelenting and they fashioned a sublime first round and endured a few scratches from two draws. Wanderers have been persistent chasers, but the Palapye side has been defeated twice. They lost their opening match of the season to rivals Motlakase.
The BDP as a party known to have ample resources has always held its primaries well in time, but this time around that was not the case. The first leg of the primaries was held last weekend, with the final leg being billed for the coming weekend. This time around, the BDP failed to shine in its primary elections.
