A rejuvenated UB Rhinos in the second half ensured they wallop the stubborn BDF Cheetahs 23- 9 in a poorly attended match at the University of Botswana (UB) Stadium on Friday evening.

UB Rhinos started as the bullies, dominating the first 15 minutes of the match pressing BDF Cheetahs in their own half. Kaelo Mogotsi secured an early penalty for UB Rhinos in the 10th minute.

Immediately after the penalty, BDF Cheetahs upped their game and laid a solid foundation on their defence and sharpened their attacking system, which not only loosened but also revealed the loopholes in the UB Rhinos’s defence. Due to pressure, UB Rhinos players committed a number of fouls that resulted in a number of fouls.  The teams went for half time with BDF Cheetahs leading 9- 6. There were no tries or conversions with all the scores coming from penalties. In the second half, UB Rhinos came back as a better side.
