National 400 metre athletes, Karabo Sibanda and Christine Botlogetswe have sealed spots at this year’s Rio Olympics after meeting set qualifying times in their respective races in highly competitive races at the Botswana Athletics Association national championships held at the National Stadium over the weekend.

This means 12 athletes have now booked their flight to Rio for the August games.

Baboloki Thebe also improved his initial qualification time of 45:23 after winning the men’s 400 metres yesterday.
