BDF XI attacking midfielder, Ofentse Mmipi has been surprisingly omitted from the list of players called to the national team.

Mmipi has been in scintillating form for his side but finds himself not among the 26 players called up for camp. Mmipi has not only been providing assists, but also scored brilliant goals especially in the second round of the league. His performances in the Mascom Top 8 tournament has also been top notch and won two Man of the Match awards in consecutive semi final matches. Mmipi's teammates, Mompati Thuma, Lemponye Tshireletso, Ndiyapo Letsholathebe and Michael Pepukani have made to it to the team, which reports for camp this Sunday.

Another exciting player missing out is Nico United's Topo Piet. However, his teammate, Gift Moyo has been called up to the team for the first time. Osego Gaotewe of Motlakase Power Dynamos as well as Tebogo Sosome of Gaborone United (GU) have also been called up to the team. The list only contains locally based players.
