Bonolo Mabote and Boitshwarelo Butale are the male and female winners of this year’s edition of the Top 16 table tennis tournament played in Gaborone on Saturday.

Butale had a rather challenging journey to the women’s title as she had to overcome two of country’s best in Tshepiso Rebatenne and Matshidiso Osi.

“This is one of the most difficult tournaments as you have to play the country’s best. I am happy to have won. I have been struggling with an injury so I had less time to train,” she told Monitor Sport.
