Sprint sensation, Baboloki Thebe has been cleared to compete at the upcoming Commonwealth Games, following a season marred by injuries.

Thebe has been in the sidelines due to a muscle injury he picked during the Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) Super Night Meet series in Lobatse last month. Thebe did not compete at the Athletix Grand Prix, which was held in Pretoria last week, as he was nursing the injury.  Athletics team manager, Olebogeng Oitebetse told a press briefing this week that Thebe went for a check up at Bokamoso Private Hospital where he was cleared to run.

“The scan has indicated that the athlete is fit to compete. On Monday, he started intensive training and we believe the remaining few weeks are enough for him to be back in shape,” she said.
