Gaborone United (GU) got off to a good start in the 2010-2011 be MOBILE Premier League campaign after a 4-1 thumping of city rivals Notwane at the Molepolole Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The win was the second in a row for GU against Notwane in a week after the 1-0 victory in the finals of the Gaborone City Regional Football Association tournament.
On Saturday, GU opened the scoring as early as the 12th minute through evergreen striker, Stephen Maposa.
The goal followed a good interchange of passes between enterprising winger Mandla 'Spikiri' Mgadla and Maposa who slotted the ball past Notwane goalkeeper Botlhe Moralo. Eight minutes later, Mgadla made it 2-0.
