Ten-men boys tame Fighters

A 12th minute header by Orapeleng Nkwe sealed victory for Rolling Boys against Mogoditshane Fighters in the Debswana First Division South League at the SSG on Saturday afternoon.


 Despite being a man down, Boys held on to get maximum points. Nkwe turned from hero to villain 24 minutes before the end of the game when he got his marching orders. Fighters had the upper hand when the game started, but after conceding the goal, they struggled. Boys’ goalkeeper, Mmoloki Sedimo nearly cost his side as he missed the ball but he managed to recover in the nick of time. Gomolemo Ramabjya was unlucky in the 25th minute as Onnetse Ditshito saved his strike. Fighters continued pushing for an equaliser and Abednico Powell took a long range shot that went past the goalmouth in the 35th minute.  Fighters had another chance to score in the second stanza, but Gopolang Matlou effort was dealt with comfortably by Sedimo.
