TASC seek to revive fortunes

FRANCITOWN: TASC face Francistown rivals TAFIC in a Mascom Premier League tomorrow seeking to revive their flagging soccer fortunes. The Tango Boys are facing relegation and the game against TAFIC is a must win. With six games to go, TASC are 14th - the last relegation place on the log - while TAFIC are in 11th spot. Hence, tomorrow's game promises to be a hard-fought affair as both sides seek to survive in the Premier League.

In the first round, Matjimenyenga gunned TASC 1-0 and captain Shepard Mosekgwa feels that his team has what it takes to overcome the Tango Boys once again. He said as much as TASC is desperate to survive relegation, TAFIC also has a duty to improve their log standings. He said he foresees no problem in the game. The soft-spoken utility player told Mmegi Sport that the recent talks of disorder at the club would not have an impact on their performance. "In football, supporters would just talk when teams are not doing well, but this should not discourage players," he said.

Mosekgwa was adamant that they would continue where they left last weekend when they thumped the defending champions Police XI 3-2 at Otse. Golden Boot Award contender, Nicholas Gora is likely to exploit TASC's leaky defence.
