TASC go for the unknowns

FRANCISTOWN: TASC has beefed up their squad with nine players in the just-ended transfer period. The Tango Boys have gone for unknown names but club officials are confident their new signings will be good for the forthcoming campaign.

Last season,  TASC survived relegation by a whisker amidst internal problems. The team has acquired the services of two defenders, Victor Puoeng and Fredrick Moffat and Zimbabwean striker Timothy Cosmos, all from city rivals TAFIC. Cosmos was put out of action by an injury the whole of last season. He is expected to combine with his compatriot Terence Mandaza and Mokgathi Mokgathi to spearhead the TASC strikeforce. The club has signed Richard Modirelabangwe and Benjamin Radimo from Flamengo Santos and Notwane respectively. Youthful goalkeeper Mkhululi Mosinga from Tsamaya United has also joined the club. Strikers Opeleng Godfrey and Moagi Motsumi are the other new signings at the Francistown side.

TASC spokesperson Jonas Ikgopoleng believes that the new players are good and will help the club achieve its ambitions. The Tango Boys played good football last season but failed to covert the many chances they created. Ikgopoleng feels that the players would be more accurate in front of goal and supporters must be ready to see a better TASC.
"We believe that the new players would help us get the desired results," he said. He pleaded with supporters to give the new officials a chance to guide the club. The Tango Boys elected an executive committee last Sunday. Ikgopoleng explained that the outgoing committee, which he was part of, encountered many problems but the new officials are set to sort things out. He stated that they want the club to be focused before the season starts.
