Tamirepi faces the axe?

At the weekend when Matjimenyenga travelled to Otse to play Police XI, the management reportedly decided to leave the coach behind. However, it is understood Tamirepi found his way to the game through public transport. The decision to lock the coach out of Otse was reportedly taken by chairman Thomas Maika, welfare manager Christopher Olyn and Ntima. Reliable sources have informed Mmegi Sport that the TAFIC management is seriously sabotaging Tamirepi so that he can resign and pave way for a new man.
But TAFIC spokesperson Jones Mosweu quashed the reports though he confirmed that the coach did not travel with the team to Otse. He explained that Tamirepi did not travel because he was waiting for players who had remained behind, Chimbi Sechele and Joseph Banyatsi. The midfielders remained because they knocked off late from work.
Mmegi Sport investigations indicate that though the TAFIC management provided the two players with transport money, Tamirepi got nothing. Mosweu declined to comment on this. All I know is that the coach travelled and he sat on the bench during the game, he said. He claimed that people were blowing the issue out of proportion because the coach went to Zimbabwe after the Township Rollers game. Tamirepi remained mum on the issue and promised to focus on his job as he prepares for a local derby against TASC this weekend.
