Stakes high as Botswana seeks volleyball champs berth

Stakes are high as the senior men's volleyball team begins its quest for a berth at the World Championships with a tricky encounter against Lesotho in the Zonal qualifiers. The game will be played in Molepolole this afternoon, shortly after the opening ceremony at 2:00 pm.

As the host, the team will be under immense pressure to impress. Botswana hosts the Zonal qualifiers, which have Zimbabwe, Zambia, Lesotho, Namibia and Mozambique over the next five days. The competition will determine the top two countries that will proceed to the continental qualifiers.

The top two teams will join other top sides from the six other zones in Africa.
