Spanish footballer conducts training course in Gaborone

Spanish footballer, Jaime Rodriguez who turned out for Division B amateur side, Real Oviedo is in Gaborone to conduct a five-day soccer training camp which ends today. The training is organised by Regent Hill Primary School (RHPS).

The 22-year-old Rodriguez now plays college football for the University of San Pablo in Madrid where he is studying. Rodriguez is in the country at the invitation of Regent Hill director, Rosa Parastaran.

Parastaran said when she heard that Rodriguez was visiting South Africa from a friend, she immediately contacted him to come and conduct the training camp. "I immediately took the chance to ask him to do the voluntary programme for the children as I knew it would be a great experience not only for the children but for him," she said.
