Wells, Gatalamotho and Police men’s softball teams have progressed to the finals of the Selebi-Phikwe softball extravaganza, after the weekend’s eliminators for the southern teams held in Gaborone.

The teams were placed in two pools and winners from each group, Wells and Gatalamotho booked a place in the finals. The runners up Police and Panthers then fought for the remaining spot in the last game, with the cops emerging victorious.

On Saturday, Wells begin their quest for the number one position in their bracket when they beat Dinare 3-0. On the same day, Vikings put Wells on a tough test but Wells eventually won by a marginal 9-8 victory. The only team that threatened Wells for the number one spot was Police XI that began their pursuit by crushing Blue Angels 9-1 on Saturday.
