Sithole leaves bitter taste at BMC

Lobatse-based Premier League side, BMC have confirmed the departure of coach, Mike Sithole who is heading to rivals, Mochudi Centre Chiefs. The Zambian joined BMC mid last season after leading Gaborone United (GU) to the Premier League title and then departing in a huff following allegations of misconduct.

He delivered his resignation letter to BMC on Monday. However, the club feels it was betrayed by the coach.

BMC spokesperson Themba Stimela told Mmegi Sport that they were disappointed at the manner in which their relationship with Sithole ended. Sithole indicated in his resignation letter dated June 1 that he would be serving a month's notice. "We felt betrayed because after the rumours surfaced that he was leaving to join Chiefs, we met with him and asked him if it was true but he denied.
