The national women’s football team begin their search of a first victory at the COSAFA Women Championships when they face Namibia at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo this morning.

The team nicknamed, She Zebras has failed to secure a win at the regional tournament after nine attempts as they featured in the inaugural tournament in 2002, and then again in 2008 and 2011.

The team would face the first hurdle in the form of the Brave Gladiators of Namibia in the opener of the tournament. This would be the Zebras’ first international fixture in more than one and a half years.  The team is beaming with confidence ahead of their fixture as captain, Bonang Otlhagile said they would be up for a fight in Bulawayo.
