Despite his controversial downfall after last year's Commonwealth Games in India, local boxer Tirafalo 'Fighting Prince' Seoko has been able to get back on his feet proving that he is still a vital cog in the Botswana national team.

Seoko had a controversial downfall last year after a marvellous performance in New Delhi, India bringing back home a bronze medal. His performance, however, deteriorated soon after that when he started loosing local competitions he was expected to win. Seoko first lost in the quarterfinals of the Annual National Boxing Championships, citing fatigue from the Commonwealth Games that had just ended.

But went on to loose against Alpheos Farmer in the finals of the annual Best of The Best Tournament and it was only then that he opened up to having personal problems. Allegations that the Botswana Boxing Association  (BoBA) considered replacing him with a better performing athlete started to fly as both competitions are used to test the skills and fitness of local fighters. For some reason, however, Seoko was given another shot at representing the country.
