Sebeles star continues to shine

Athletics is one of the few codes that continue to do well at international stage. Local athletics competitions such as the Botswana Tertiary Student Sports Association (BOTESSA) games and the just ended Gaborone International Meet (GIM) continue to produce new talent.

Ditiro Sebele recently broke the International University Sports Federation (FISU) standard record of 21:20 after clocking 21:06 in men’s 200m during the BOTESSA National Champions last month. Sebele continued with his good performance and recorded 10:64 in 100m at the same event.

The 23-year-old was one of the lucky BOTESSA athletes who got an opportunity to participate in the GIM over the weekend finishing on position two with a time of 21:37 in the men’s 200m.

Don't let FMD outbreak drag on
