University of Botswana (UB) Relics registered their first win of the second round of the Botswana Basketball Association (BBA) league when they beat Botho College Ravens 60-51 on Friday.

The game was quite interesting as it matched up teams that are struggling in the BBA league. Whilst it is acceptable for league debutants Relics to be struggling, it was disappointing for Ravens, previously known as NIIT, to under perform as they are among the BBA league veterans.

Relics drew first blood in the second minute through Eva Mokhubung. But Ravens capitalised on Relics misses to equalise through Seithati. Lesego Mokopakgosi immediately scored another basket that put Ravens into the lead. She went on to score a three-pointer that saw her team end the quarter leading 11-10 ,giving hope to Ravens fans that their team would finally put Relics where they belong. Ravens are fifth on the log, whilst Relics are fourth.
