Ruri Rammokolodi won both the long jump and triple jump categories at the Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) Field and Track Competition held at the Molepolole Sports Complex on Saturday.

He jumped an impressive 6.92 metres in the long jump to beat an equally competitive Reid Onkutlwile. The showdown, which saw two athletes in Onkutlwile and Tshwarelo Aobobe drop out halfway through due to mounting pressure, was the BAA's second this year.

Rammokolodi displaced rival Matlhogonolo Mokenawe who jumped 6.86 metres after getting red flagged in his last attempt that could have seen him beat Rammokolodi. Mokenawe was the champion in the first event of the year that was held in Masunga a fortnight ago.
