Race for BNOC presidency at decisive stage

The submissions for Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) candidates closed last evening with five names expected to be confirmed to run for the presidency.

All candidates who have interest in contesting for positions in the BNOC board were expected to have submitted their nominations yesterday.

All eyes are on the candidates who have shown interest in replacing outgoing president, Negros Kgosietsile. BNOC chief executive officer, Tuelo Serufho told Mmegi Sport yesterday that they had received the nominations. “We are going to inform the different federations who the candidates are before the elections which are set for October 7. The idea is to make that announcement before elections day,” he said.
