The Debswana First Division South League took an interesting turn this past weekend as log leaders, Notwane opened a two point lead at the top. Prisons XI, who had the same number of points and goals as Notwane going into weekend games, hit a slump on Saturday.

Both Notwane and Prisons XI were expected to maintain their perfect start to the season but The Warders hit blanks against Matebejane on Saturday, allowing Notwane to open the lead. Prisons now occupy the second spot with seven points.

They are yet to concede a goal this season together with Notwane who smashed four goals past hapless Letlapeng on Saturday. The absence of head coach, Israel Molao who has travelled with the national team to Zimbabwe did not deter Notwane who went on to officially launch the league in style. On Saturday, Toronto were under the tutelage of assistant coach, Kakale Mabechu. Four first half goals were enough to send them to the top of the log standings.
