The Botswana Premier League (BPL) chairperson, Walter Kgabung has disclosed that the chief executive officer, Bennett Mamelodi’s contract will be renewed. Mamelodi’s current contract elapses in November and there were strong reports he might leave the Premier League for greener pastures.

“The Premier League board has agreed that the CEO be offered a new contract. The only thing that is left is the approval of the new strategy which we came up with at the BPL retreat held in Mahalapye recently,” Kgabung told Mmegi Sport.

He said they have a meeting on September 4 where they will approve the new strategy, which will pave way for the CEO’s contract renewal.
