Police probe Rollers poisoning case

No suspects have been arrested yet following an incident in which Township Rollers players were allegedly poisoned during their Premier League match against Extension Gunners recently.

Central Police Station Commander, Superintendent Calvin Mookodi, said they have not yet arrested anyone in connection with the case but investigations are continuing. Some of the players affected were Joel Mogorosi, Amos Godirwang, Simesane Mathumo and Onalethata Tshekiso. Mogorosi was said to have been the most affected because he was the first to enter the dressing room. He had to be substituted in the second half.

Botswana Premier League general manager Phuthego Setete said they are awaiting the outcome of the investigations from the Botswana Police before deciding the next course of action.
