Police survived an early scare from Relics to register an emphatic 75-24 victory in a women basketball league game on Friday night.

Although Relics were humiliated, they showed fighting spirit in the first and second quarter. At some point in the first quarter, they had Police on the ropes and took the lead. Both sides attacked but Police proved more efficient in exploiting opportunities to score points. They really got going in the third quarter, scoring basket after basket and giving Relics no chance.

They led 49-20 after Relics scored only a single basket in the quarter. The fourth quarter was another walkover for the more experienced Police as the combination of Nkele Thwabi and Kemmonnye Madikwe got them 16. Madikwe was the only player to score three pointers ending the game with four. Kelly Mokubung was the highest scorer for Relics putting in eight baskets for her side.
