The Botswana Police women basketball team recently grabbed gold in Namibia during the country’s Independence Day games.

Police coach, James Kalebwe said they were sent a special invitation to the games by the Namibians. Other countries that took part in the event are Angola and Mozambique. Kalebwe said the Namibians were aware of his team’s achievement, hence the invite.

The Police women team is a formidable side, which won the league last year and lost to BDF V in the National Championships. Kalebwe said his team played four games and lost only one to take gold in Namibia.
