Arecreational park was officially launched by the Deputy Mayor of Selebi Phikwe, Odirile Kelebetse on April 12, 2014 in Selebi Phikwe.

The recreational facility that encompasses tennis, volleyball, netball and basketball facilities will serve grassroots sports’ skills development programmes which will cater for children from as young as five years up to out-of-school youth. The mayor also launched a recreational hall that will cater for the town’s youth entertainment which is hoped will curb them from social ills such as drugs and alcohol abuse.

Selebi Phikwe Town Council (SPTC) built the infrastructure at a cost of P 1.2million.
