Palapye Gets First Rugby Club

The number of rugby clubs in Botswana reached 17 on Saturday when Bulls of Palapye was officially launched. Bulls' chairman, Mooketsi Mosienyane said they are aware of the tough challenge of running Palapye's first rugby club but are prepared.

"We know it is not going to be easy to run the club but we are determined," he said. He hopes that his experience in running previous rugby clubs would help. Bulls were formed last year and have applied to be a member of the Botswana Rugby Union (BRU).

It is largely expected that the BRU's Annual General Meeting (AGM) next month will approve the application.
