The local launch of the 2010 AFCON was held at the Fashion Lounge in Phakalane where journalists and football administrators, among them Botswana Football Association (BFA) president, David Fani, attended. Orange would be running competitions during the duration of the three-week tournament and its subscribers can get up to the minute updates.

The journalists watched the opening ceremony and later the game between Angola and Mali.
