Oatlhotse fails to make Olympiad cut

Botswana’s highest ranked chess player, International Master (IM) Providence Oatlhotse has failed to make it to Olympiad.

Oatlhotse did not qualify for the finals of team selection after being knocked out during the second stage. The first stage was held in February, with the second stage following in March. The final selection of the team was held at Oasis Motel in Tlokweng over the weekend.

The selected players will represent Botswana at the Chess Olympiad in Baku, Azerbaijan in September.
