No contest in TAFIC polls

FRANCISTOWN: All TAFIC officials have retained their seats after the club held its Annual General Meeting over the weekend.

The clubs retained their positions save for assistant manager Simon Mapolelo who was relegated to additional member. Thomas Maika is still the TAFIC chairman with Bushy Moswate as his vice. Emmanuel Dube is the manager and Rapula Changana as assistant. Rumilwe Monyatsi is the secretary, Baboloki Bajiti is the treasurer while Alfred Kholisani is in charge of welfare. Despite heavy criticism, Jones Mosweu was re-elected spokesman unopposed. Additional members include Patrick Thothe, Daniel Mbili, Innocent Monnathogo and Mapolelo.

Speaking at the meeting, Maika urged the officials to unite for the benefit of the club. He pointed out that they cannot perform if they are divided. He told Mmegi Sport that his committee deserved another chance in office because of the good work they have done. Despite coming from the First Division, Matjimenyenga ended last season in position nine. Maika asserted that a year in office is too short to implement ideas. He was thankful that they have been given a chance to complete unfinished business.
