Mini-Cricket World Cup celebrates 10th anniversary

The 10th edition of the Mini-Cricket World Cup was launched at the Gaborone Cricket Club with the announcement of a P150,000 sponsorship.

World Group of Companies director, Imram Saidar officially launched the sponsorship saying the tournament aims to ensure the growth of cricket in Botswana. Participating countries are Sri-Lanka, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, India, South Africa and Botswana.

Saidar said their main aim is to improve Botswana sport to do well at international level. "Our aim is to improve sport in general as already we have sponsored other sporting codes in the country including football," he said.
