Fed- up: Masuku wants to quit Nico

FRANCISTOWN: Nico United’s attacking midfielder Remmington Masuku has threatened to quit the struggling club after they failed to honour contractual obligations.

The Zimbabwean, who joined Majombolo after being released from Mochudi Centre Chiefs in January, had signed a brief six-month contract with the Selebi-Phikwe club. Masuku said the team is failing to pay him and they are not promising to do as per the agreement. He said he is the breadwinner at home and is failing to support his family. “It hurts when your wife tells you there is nothing to eat at home and you can’t provide yet you are working and you are not getting anything let alone those peanuts,” he said.

Masuku said since joining the club in January he was never paid, not even the first salary. He said what is best for him is to leave the Selebi-Phikwe outfit and look for greener pastures.  He said the situation is compounded by the fact that he is a foreigner and has no relatives to turn to when he runs out of food supplies and other necessities.
