Mammoth task for TASC officials

FRANCISTOWN: The newly elected TASC executive committee is faced with a mammoth task ahead of the Mascom Premier League season. It emerged at the club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Civic Centre last Sunday that there are many things to be done to save the side from last season's embarrassment. The Tango Boys escaped relegation by a whisker last season and at one stage, it lost 10 games in a row.

The outgoing chairman, Joseph Seelo explained that they faced difficult situations in the past season. The biggest problems were lack of funds and factionalism at the club.

"TASC has some of the best players in the country but we could not do anything under such circumstances. It was difficult to work with a disgruntled lot," lamented Seelo.
He said the club could not hold meetings to address the problems because most of the top officials have relocated to Gaborone. They managed the club through remote control.  The records show that the club has outstanding arrears of about P42,400 but they only have P1,386 in the account.
