Kubara Denies Landing In The Money

The chairman of Munhumutapa African Broadcasting Corporation (MABC), Oscar Kubara has denied reports that the millions he promised to sponsor the Premier League with have arrived.

He said claims that he arrived at the Botswana Football Association (BFA) offices with a briefcase bulging with cash are not true. Reports said that Kubara approached the BFA with an offer to sponsor a cup tournament or the First Division.

However, he told Monitor Sport that the money has not arrived.
In the past, Kubara promised that if the money comes, he will hand it over to the BFA. He asserted that the money was meant to sponsor football and would not be diverted to something else. "I will let you know when the money is there," he said.
