Karate dojo fails to meet deadline

The construction of the first phase of the karate training centre in Gaborone has failed to meet the August deadline though the work is almost complete.

The ablution block is complete while what is remaining for the main hall is fitting of doors, windows, electricity and inner glazing. The sewer system is not connected.

Botswana Karate Association (BOKA) vice president, David Mathe said the contractor for the dojo had challenges especially with the sewerage connection. He said initially they thought the Botswana Football Association (BFA) sewerage was nearby and they could connect to it.
