FRANCISTOWN: Mahalapye Hotspurs persistent chase finally paid off as they climbed to the summit of the Debswana First Division North log over the weekend.

Flamingoes have been at the top for nine weeks, but slipped to position two after a 2-2 draw against Real Movers while Hotspurs won 1-0 against Tonota FC. 

Since their 3-0 drubbing away at Kazungula FC in week seven, ‘Amahot’ have been building momentum and are now on a four game unbeaten run. In the four encounters, the on-song Mahalapye outfit have scored seven goals and conceded only once.
