Hotspurs off to winning start

Tonota FC: (0) (0) Hotspurs: (1) (1) (Tillie Setlhaku 11th) FRANCISTOWN: Mahalapye Hotspurs got off their campaign in the Debswana First Division North League to a good start with a 1-0 victory over Tonota FC at Rutwang JSS on Saturday.

Former Uniao Flamingo Santos’ utility player, Tillie Setlhaku scored the only goal of the match from the spot to give Amahot three valuable points away from home.

Hotspurs piled early pressure, putting Tonota on the backfoot with Gideon Kudu and Setlhaku dictating proceedings. The homeside was pinned in its half and the pressure paid when Koziba Gibson used his hands to block Setlhaku’s effort that appeared headed for the net.
