Substitute Goareng Bagale’s late solitary strike was enough to hand visitors, Jwaneng Galaxy an important 1-0 win over title rivals, Mogoditshane Fighters during a Debswana First Division South League encounter on Saturday.

Goareng’s strike in the 80th minute took a deflection off Fighters goalkeeper, Botlhe Moralo.

The win sees Galaxy extend their lead at the top as they now have 24points. Galaxy’s first attempt at goal came in the eighth minute but Tshiamo Moreetsi’s effort drifted across the face of goal. Fighters gained momentum as the game progressed, with a Mokgathi Mokgathi set piece hitting the side net after 11minutes.
