Footballers Union of Botswana (FUB) yesterday honoured 20 legends of the game during the awards ceremony held in Gaborone. The icons received certificates, medals and merchandise for their contribution to local football.

FUB secretary, Kgosana Masaseng said they found it fit to broaden the awards this year by introducing some categories including legends, officials, women and other individual categories.

“As the union that also deals with retired players, we found it necessary to embark on a mission that can bring them back to the game.
