FNBB sells 500 World Cup tickets

First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) sold at least 500 World Cup tickets between last Monday and Friday, the commercial bank's head of marketing and communications, Bomolemo Selaledi told Mmegi Sport.

She added that a significant number of customers who bought their tickets on line redeemed their tickets at the bank, thereby saving themselves the trouble of redeeming them in South Africa. Selaledi said the majority of tickets sold so far have been for the Ghana versus Australia match in Rustenburg, a venue closer to Gaborone.

She added that Batswana have enquired about tickets for the opening game between South Africa and Mexico, England vs USA, matches involving Brazil and games where African teams are involved.
