First Division clubs fined for boycott

FRANCISTOWN: Three First Division North clubs, Tonota FC, No Mathata and Sua Flamingoes have been fined P2, 000 for their decision to boycott fixtures a fortnight ago.

First Division North chairperson, Eatametse Olopeng said the clubs have been spared further punishment - deduction of points - after they explained their actions.

"We have fined the three clubs P2, 000 each but we did not deduct points looking at the reasons they gave. The games which they boycotted will be played this weekend," he said.
