Journalists only covered parts of the volleyball AGM
The Commission has instructed NSAs to ensure that the media only attends the official opening of their meetings. According to the directive from BNSC chief executive officer (CEO), Falcon Sedimo the NSAs were informed that when they discuss other ‘internal’ issues, the media should be excused.
“…so as to allow members of the sport associations to discuss issues without fear of negative publicity,” reads part of the directive.
Whilst celebrating milestones in inclusivity, with notably P5 billion awarded to vulnerable groups, the report sounds a 'siren' on a dangerous and growing trend: the ballooning use of micro-procurement.
