Boxers will undergo anti-doping tests before and after their bouts when the Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) holds its season ending tournament at Glen Valley tomorrow.

BoBA spokesperson, Kenny Maragana said the anti-doping team will be on duty and all boxers would be tested. Tomorrow’s tournament is open to all the 19 BoBA affiliated clubs and is organised and sponsored by the association.

Maragana said they expect boxers to be well-prepared and to produce fireworks since this is the last competition of the year. BoBA will use the competition to identify potential national team boxers. It will also be used to sharpen the youth team, which will take part in the SCASA Games scheduled for next month in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Maragana said the tournament will feature men and women bouts.
