The Botswana Darts Association (BODA) will finally hold a virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) tomorrow (Saturday) after their request received a thumbs up from authorities as they met the government’s coronavirus (COVID-19) requirements.

BODA was set to meet on February 13, but was forced to postponed due to insufficient funds. The federation was P33,000 short and the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) declined to avail funds for the gathering. The agreement was that the BNSC would cover a certain part of the meeting’s logistics costs.

“The meeting is allowed since there is no physical attendance. It will be virtual, meaning everyone will be either home or elsewhere; those restrictions refer to physical interactions. We are expecting to hear the president’s report, secretary-general and treasurer reports. We are also expecting to hear what our regional body has decided or plans to do in the future due to the coronavirus,” BODA public relations officer, Thato Maphorisa said.
